SHOPPING & DOWNLOAD

Where can I find the download? How do I get my pattern?

There are several ways how you can download your purchase:

1. Firstly, a Download button appears right at your order confirmation page “Download sewing pattern”

2. After you’ve completed the checkout process, you get two emails from us. One is the Order confirmation, a second one follows right after with a download button for your purchase (check your spam folder if you haven’t gotten it)

3. Downloads are available indefinitely in your personal account

If you’re having problems, let us know at mail@sistermagpatterns.com, and we’ll connect your purchases to your customer account.

I don’t have an account and can’t see my downloads

You can always create a new account. If you use the same  email address that you’ve used when buying your pattern, the purchases should appear in your account.

If you’re having problems, let us know at mail@sistermagpatterns.com and we’ll connect your purchases to your customer account.

Can I download my pattern again?

Yes, all of your purchases are available in your customer account (log in at the top right corner). If you haven’t registered, just create a new account with the email address from your order (!important!) and you can download your purchased patterns at any time in the customer account.

If you’re having problems, let us know at mail@sistermagpatterns.com and we’ll connect your purchases to your customer account.

Can I return my pattern?

In accordance with our refund policy your right of cancellation and return expires when we have started executing the order. This is with the purchase due to the digital nature of the products.

ABOUT THE PATTERNS

What languages do your patterns come in?

Every purchased pattern comes in English and in German language. Right now, we unfortunately do not offer any other languages, as we are a very small team with limited ressources. You can follow us on @sistermagpatterns or on Facebook on any major updates.

How does seam allowance work for your patterns? Is it included?

Some of our patterns already have seam allowance drawn into the pattern (you can find that information on the product page next to each pattern). If the seam allowance is NOT drawn on the sewing pattern, you can find the information about what to add in the section “CUTTING” in your instruction booklet. In this case, you simply add this when cutting your fabric.

What can I do if my fabric is wider/narrower than 1,4m | 56in

Cut out the paper pattern pieces and lay them out on your fabric. This way you can place them to fit the width of the fabric. Then the cutting follows.

If you are looking into buying fabric, you can also do that on the ground and measure how long your fabric piece should be. Remember the fold when laying out your pieces.

I am in between two sizes, which one should I take?

There are a few factors to consider here, as this also depends on the fabric used and the final fit. If you like your clothes a little looser, we recommend the larger size. If you like something tight fitting and the fabric is flexible, you can take the smaller size. Also note whether the cut is generally close to the body or oversized, which is indicated on each of our product pages.

Can I get the pattern in paper?

As sisterMAG Patterns we do not offer paper patterns, however there are quite a few services that provide large-format printing that send directly to your home address.

We do recommend Su & Mark from patternsy.com in the UK for printing our patterns (they ship worldwide). A few more resources:

What formats can I buy?

All our patterns include a standard copyshop format (A0). For printing at home, we also include A4 (Europe) and Letter (US) format.

What is a PDF pattern?

Our sewing patterns come as a digital download as PDF and not as a paper pattern. The download contains the pattern in copy store format (A0) or A4/Letter to print out at home and glue together. The download also contains a measurement chart and sewing instructions.

Are your patterns layered?

Most of our PDF patterns contain selectable layers that allow you to choose which size(s) you want to print. This makes your pattern more manageable. In Adobe Acrobat Reader, go to Display > Show/Hide > Navigation Pane > Layers. All sizes are selected by default. Uncheck the sizes you don't need. However, always leave the "For all sizes - select when printing" layer active.

If you have downloaded a pattern that doesn’t contain layers, let us know and write to us at mail@sistermagpatterns.com. We’ll gladly send you an updated version.

Do you offer custom/customized/individualized patterns?

We do not create customized templates.
